Vulcan Database
The Vulcan database is a web-based tool that tracks recruit training and pre-ship critical tasks. Access can be requested by logging on to www.arngvulcan.com.
The Vulcan Database provides visibility on the current status of recruit preparation and provides alerts to RRF and Unit leadership when recruits are at risk of becoming a pre-ship training pipeline loss or lack critical IADT skill training based upon the top five reasons for ARNG training pipeline losses.
Recruits are tracked from time of enlistment until completion of AIT and Battle Handoff to their permanent unit. Vulcan provides the following reports:
- Soldier Roster – Lists all Warriors and training data by RSP Site.
- Soldier Ship Roster – Identifies Warriors scheduled to ship to Phase I and Phase II, 30, 60, 90 and 90+ days from Ship Date.
- Excess IDT – Displays Warriors who have exceeded the authorized number of annual IDTs.
- 30 Days No Pay – Lists all Warriors who have not been paid within the last 30 days.
- Soldier At Risk Reports - Displays a color-coded matrix depicting the percentage of Warrior population who are missing Critical Pre-Ship tasks. Capability of a drill-down to individual Warrior tasks is available.
- Mismatch Report - This report provides comparative information on Soldiers in the Vulcan RSP database and RSP Soldiers determined directly from TAPDB-G. Its purpose is to identify RSP Soldiers as reported in TAPDB-G who are not in the Vulcan database, and to identify RSP Soldiers in the Vulcan database who are not in TAPDB-G or not indicated as RSP Soldiers in TAPDB-G.
- Critical Tasks - Warriors are tracked by the following critical tasks that must be accomplished prior to Shipping. Any one of theses tasks could prevent a Warrior from successful completion of training:
- AKO Account
- AKO Account
- MyPay Account
- Personal Data
- PT Assessment/ APFT
- Employer Data
- Height/Weight
- SSN Card
- Driver’s License/Photo ID
- ATM Card MyPay Account
